Planning Commission

The Randolph Planning Commission has no development review functions and primarily is responsible for drafting the Town Plan and the zoning and subdivision regulations. It is a seven-member board that usually meets one a month.  Member terms are for four years and appointments are made by the Selectboard at its annual organizational meeting following Town Meeting.
The Planning Commission just finished rewriting the zoning and subdivision regulations and now will be tackling the Town Plan.  Specifically, it will begin working with the regional planning commission on developing an enhanced energy plan that will allow the Town to have greater input on energy projects that are seeking approval from the state Public Service Board.
