TOWN OF RANDOLPH TOWN CLERK/TREASURER

The Town of Randolph is seeking candidates to appoint as the Town Clerk and Treasurer. The position is, essentially, a 1-year appointment until elections in March 2025. At that time, the individual appointed may have to run for reelection to retain the positions. State law requires that all candidates must be a resident of the Town of Randolph once appointed. Duties include but are not limited to: collecting payments for taxes and utility bills, administering elections, serving as the custodian of Town records, recording deeds, and issuing and recording certain certificates or licenses (birth, death, and marriage certificates, for example). The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, communicate and give information courteously, and provide a consistent public presence. Though the position has some level of statutory autonomy, the individual is expected to work in coordination with Town staff and the Selectboard. The Town will consider candidates from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds. Knowledge of state, federal, and local ordinances, laws, rules, and regulations is desirable, but not required. The appointment will be made by the Selectboard. Randolph Police Department Employment Opportunities

The Randolph Police Department is seeking individuals to join our team as we rebuild and redefine our department. We have two full-time, patrol officer positions available at this time.

Our community-oriented department strongly emphasizes community policing and building positive relationships with our citizens. Our officers work closely with the community to ensure the safety and security of all businesses, residents, and visitors.

A Randolph Police Officer is an individual who aspires to excellence, is guided by principles, and understands the importance of the profession and the values that are required to meet the demands.

The Randolph Police Department is well-trained and well-organized and enjoys a good relationship with the community. We are located in Central Vermont. The majority of our calls for service are for quality-of-life issues, traffic-related incidents, and criminal investigations. Our department takes great pride in maintaining an environment that promotes a work-life balance. This emphasis produces healthier officers ready to meet the profession’s challenges.

The successful candidate will possess the following minimum requirements:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen at least 18 years of age.
  • Have a high school diploma.
  • Be certified or able to be certified as a police officer by the VT Criminal Justice Council (VCJC).
  • Possess a valid VT driver’s license.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job.
  • Preference will be given to those applicants who are currently certified through the VCJC. However, those without certification are also encouraged to apply. Police testing, including a physical fitness examination, polygraph, oral board, medical exam, fingerprint check, and extensive background check will be required of applicants selected for hire.

Preference shall be given to VT-certified officers. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Water/Wastewater Systems Operator

The Town of Randolph is accepting applications for a Water/Wastewater System Operator.  Applicants possessing a Grade 3 Water License and a Grade 2 Wastewater License preferred. 

  • Licensure may be waived if applicant can demonstrate ability to obtain both within 2 years (training is provided). 
  • This is a full-time hourly position working in both water and wastewater operations.
  • Randolph provides a full range of benefits including medical, dental, life, retirement and eligibility for student loan forgiveness.
  • Starting pay for no experience and no certifications is $22.29 per hr. with a guaranteed 8hr of overtime and $260 on call pay every 3 weeks. Totaling around $55k per year to start.
