Animal Control

The Animal Control Officer is an authorized officer that is appointed yearly by the Selectboard. This designated official has the authority to administer and enforce the provisions of the Dog Ordinance. This Ordinance was adopted by the Selectboard of the Town of Randolph under authority of 20 V.S.A. § 3549, 24 V.S.A. § 2291 (10) (14 & 15), and 24 V.S.A. Chapter 59.  The purpose of this Ordinance is to regulate the keeping of dogs and wolf hybrids, to protect public health and safety and to protect the residents’ quiet enjoyment of their homes and properties.
